Our 2nd port of call was Juneau, Alaska. Most notable were Eagles. Eagles were everywhere. Eagles perched over the water, Eagles standing on water’s edge, Eagles on utility poles. Ironically I didn’t take a single Eagle picture. I guess it was Eagle overload.
My Juneau excursion was Whale Watching And Mendenhall Glacier Photo Safari. As a wildlife photographer I wasn’t very interested in photographing landscapes so I only have a couple of pictures. However the whale watching was just what I was looking for.
In fact there were quite a few Orcas along with Hump-back Whales and Harbor Seals to round out the tour. Apparently Orcas aren’t seen as often so I consider myself fortunate to have seen them twice in one day.
Based on their lazy behavior I believe Harbor Seals might be related to house-cats.
