Lots of hatching is going on and Loons are no different. The dedication of both Loon Parents to their chicks is wonderful to see and these pictures show that in great abundance. The chicks dutifully follow the parents as they patrol the waters. The parents dive to catch fish that are just the right size for their chicks. All the while they make calls to each other so no-one gets lost. Since the chicks cannot dive the parents leave them at the surface as they work.
