Once an endangered series the Bald Eagle has rebounded in great numbers over the past 20 years. Once a heavily polluted lake, Onondaga Lake is now one of the premier locations for viewing this majestic creature. Winters can bring between 70 to 100 Bald Eagles to the shores in search of food. Although they can be fiercely territorial they at times can tolerate others when limited food sources are available.
